Aim

Welcome to Beachfront Collaborative. We’re very glad you’re here.

Our goal is to provide an appealing, productive, flexible short term workspace.

Like everything, respect for property and people is essential. We’d be grateful if you could do your part to promote this.

General Conduct

  • We expect everyone using the Beachfront Collaborative premises to behave respectfully towards others (“Space”).
  • Please use the Space in a way that’s consistent with a typical commercial office environment.
  • We don’t allow any behaviour or activities that are disruptive, dangerous, illegal or offensive.

Lights and Air-Con

  • Don’t worry about the lights and air-conditioning – they’ll turn automatically during opening hours, which you can find on our website.
  • If you’ve booked the boardroom, feel free to adjust the lights in there to your liking, but please leave them as you found them when you’re done
  • We’ve preset all the air-conditioners to a comfortable 23°C.

Guests

  • you’re welcome to bring guests if you’ve booked a boardroom. Just keep in mind that the number of guests you can bring is limited to the maximum capacity of the boardroom (10).
  • Please make sure your guests follow our rules while they’re in the Space – you’re responsible for them.

Access

  • Your membership and access code are just for you. Please don’t share them with anyone else.
  • Don’t give your code to anyone, and don’t let anyone into restricted areas without using their own access code.

Prohibited Items

For everyone’s safety, we don’t allow any weapons or other dangerous, hazardous, flammable or explosive materials in the Space.

No Mail and Packages

We don’t have a receptionist or on-site manager at the Space, so please don’t use our address for receiving mail or packages that may be delivered in your absence.

Discrimination and Harassment

We want everyone to feel safe and welcome in our Space, so we have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination and harassment. If you see or experience anything that goes on against this policy, please let us know as soon as possible.

No Alcohol

We want to keep the Space a professional and productive environment, so we don’t allow alcohol consumption.

Personal Property

Please keep an eye your personal belongings while you’re using the Space – you’re responsible for them.

No Pets

We love our furry friends, but unfortunately we can’t allow pets in the Space.

Internet and Network

To keep the network are safe and secure, please make sure your devices are up-to-date and free of any malware, viruses, spyware, worms, trojans, or anything else that could harm our network.

Clean Environment

We want to keep the Space clean and tidy for everyone, so please clean up after yourself when you leave, using the cleaning kit we provided, and the bin at the door.

Security

For everyone’s safety, we may record certain areas of our spaces using video cameras.

Stolen or lost Items

If you lose, take, damage or destroy any items that we provided, you may be responsible for paying for their replacement.

Problems or Concerns

Applicability

These House Rules apply to all members, guests, invitees, and others in our Space.

Beachfront Collaborative Terms and Conditions

INTRODUCTION 

Welcome to our co-working space located at 2/44 Coral Esplanade, Cannonvale in the Whitsundays (the “Space”). This document sets out the terms and conditions that apply to your use of the Space. 

We are Beachfront Collaborative. We are happy to have you as a member of our community. 

By accessing or using the Space, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Space. 

We may update or amend these terms and conditions from time to time. You should check this document regularly for any changes. 

 

ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION 

To use the Space, you must be at least 18 years old, and have a valid photo- identification document that you can provide to us (“ID”).  

You must register online and provide your name, email address, phone number, ID and payment details. 

You must choose a membership or rental plan (“Plan”) that suits your needs and pay the applicable fees in advance. 

You will receive a confirmation email or text message and access code to enter the Space. 

You must keep your access code confidential and not share it with anyone else. 

You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your access code. 

 

USE OF THE SPACE 

You can use the Space during the opening hours specified on the website or at the Space. 

You can access the Space by entering your access code at the door. 

You can only use the hot desk, chair, pod, or meeting room in the Space that you have booked. 

You can use the facilities in the Space provided by us, subject to fair and reasonable use. 

You must not use the Space for mail and package receipt. If mail and packages are left at the Space, we are not responsible for their safekeeping. We may elect to return them to the sender at your expense. 

 

USE OF THE INTERNET 

We are pleased to offer high speed fibre-to-the-premises internet.  

You can use the internet provided by us for your personal or professional purposes, on these conditions: 

You must not use the internet for any illegal, immoral, or unethical purposes, such as hacking, spamming, phishing, pirating, or distributing malware; 

You must not use the internet for any activities that may harm the reputation, security or performance of us, The Space, or other uses; 

You must not use the internet for any activities that may violate the privacy, property, or rights of others, such as accessing, copying, or sharing unauthorized or confidential information; 

You must not use the internet for any activities that may infringe the intellectual property rights of others, such as downloading, uploading or streaming copyrighted or trademarked content;  

You must comply with all applicable laws, regulations and codes of conduct regarding the use of the internet; 

You must follow any rules, policies or instructions displayed or communicated by us regarding use of the internet; 

We may monitor, limit, or block your use of the internet if you breach any of these conditions, or if we reasonably believe that you have done so. 

We are not liable for any loss (including consequential loss), damage, injury, or expense that you or anyone else may suffer or incur because of your use of the internet, or as a result of any interruption, suspension, or termination of your use of the internet. 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us from any claims, demands, or actions arising from or related to your use of the internet. 

You are solely responsible for the security and protection of your devices, data, and accounts when using the internet. We do not provide any antivirus, firewall, backup, or recovery services. 

You are solely responsible for the content and legality of your online activities when using the internet. We do not endorse, verify, or control any websites, applications, or services that you may access or use through the internet. 

 

USE OF OTHER FACILITIES 

You must respect the privacy, property, and rights of other users and us. 

You must not cause any damage, disturbance, nuisance, or inconvenience to anyone or anything in the Space. 

You must not use the Space for any illegal, immoral, or unethical purposes. 

You must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes of conduct. 

You must follow any rules, policies, or instructions displayed or communicated by us. 

 

FEES AND PAYMENTS 

You must pay the fees for your chosen Plan in advance, either online or in person. 

You can pay by credit card, debit card, or any other method accepted by us. 

You will receive a receipt for your payment by email. 

You can cancel your Plan via our website at any time. 

If you book within 24 hours of your Plan starting you won’t receive any refund if you cancel. 

If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before your Plan starts, we will refund you your payment, less any administrative charges that may apply, including third party credit / debit card, bank and invoicing charges. 

We may change the fees for Plans at any time, on prior notice to you. 

If you fail to pay the fees on time, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Space. 

 

LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMER 

We provide the Space and the facilities on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties or guarantees of any kind. 

We do not warrant that the Space or the facilities will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or meet your expectations. 

We are not liable for any loss (including consequential loss), damage, injury, or expense that you or anyone else may suffer or incur because of your using the Space or the facilities. 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us from any claims, demands, or actions arising from or related to your use of the Space or the facilities. 

 

TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION 

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Space or the facilities at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. 

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Space or the facilities if you breach any of these terms and conditions, or if we reasonably believe that you have done so. 

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Space or the facilities if we are required to do so by law, or if we cease to operate the Space for any reason. 

If your access to the Space or the facilities is terminated or suspended, you must immediately stop using the Space and the facilities and leave the premises. 

You will not receive a refund for any unused portion of your Plan. 

The termination or suspension of your access to the Space or the facilities does not affect any rights or obligations that have accrued before the termination or suspension. 

 

GENERAL 

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Space and the facilities. 

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. 

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. 

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party, without your consent. 

You may not assign or transfer your rights and obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party, without our consent. 

We may communicate with you by email, phone, text or any other method you have provided. 

You must notify us of any changes to your contact details or payment details. 

We may occasionally waive any of our rights under these terms and conditions, but this does not mean that we will waive them in the future. 

We may amend these terms and conditions at any time, with prior notice to you. Your continued use of the Space and the facilities after the amendment constitutes your acceptance of the amended terms and conditions. 

 

Beachfront Collaborative Privacy Policy

Beachfront Collaborative is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service experience. We aim to provide a safe and secure system of handling your personal individual information. We ensure that your personal information is handled in strict compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles for the protection of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 
There are many aspects of the site which can be viewed without providing personal information, however, for access to future Beachfront Collaborative customer support features you are required to submit personally identifiable information. This may include but not limited to a unique username and password or provide sensitive information in the recovery of your lost password.

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your personal information will only be used for the purpose that it was collected. Unless we have first obtained your consent, these reasons and the parties to whom we might disclose it will be reasonably apparent to you when we collect your information and our use and disclosure of that information will only be for our business activities.

If we have marketed our products and services to you and you no longer wish to receive those sorts of communications from us, you should contact us and we will ensure this is rectified.

Any other use or disclosure we make of your personal information will only be as required by law or permitted by the Privacy Act 1988 (Crh).

We are committed to ensuring that all personal information collected is accurate and up to date. Any information collected is regarded as sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Crh). 

CHANGED TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY 
Beachfront Collaborative reserves the right to make amendments to this Privacy Policy at any time. If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Site.

ACCESSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 
You have a right to access your personal information, subject to exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in writing for security reasons. Beachfront Collaborative reserves the right to charge a fee for searching for, and providing access to, your information on a per request basis.
